Easter dino

Many children may be in for a disappointing surprise! Their T-rex monster toy might not have looked that "evil" after all! And maybe looked more like an easter chicken! Studies now shows that most of the dinosaurs might not have looked so monstrous as previously believed

In a recent issue of the scientific magazine "Nature" a dinosaur researcher writes about a new find in China. They have found remains of a relative of Tyrannosaurus Rex, but there is something surprising about the remnants of this relative, namely the traces of colorful feathers.

Scientists found traces of pigmented feathers and found out that it was in fact a really colorful and beautiful giant dinosaur that once lived on the Chinese mainland. The feathers of these giant dinosaurs may have been used as a thermal protection but also could also have had pure aesthetic value like that of a peacocks beautifully colored plumage.

A giant version of a cute easter chicken? don´t be fooled, this was a carnivorous beast, 15 feet long. and a skillful lethal hunter

The newly discovered dinosaur species with feathers is called Yutyrannus Huali, and is part of a wave of new dinosaur discoveries in China, many of the new species have also shown traces of feathers.
